NetCoach Remote Multimodal Procedural Coaching Platform
“A secure, low-latency tele-guidance platform that fuses ultrasound, patient monitoring, and procedural video to enable remote expert coaching in real time.”
NetCoach Platform
NetCoach TM is a secure, real-time tele-procedural guidance platform that enables expert clinicians to coach, direct, and supervise procedures remotely by integrating multiple synchronized data streams into a single interface.
Unlike robotic systems that physically manipulate instruments, NetCoach TM Live focuses on expert cognitive guidance, bringing the decision-making, pattern recognition, and procedural judgment of an experienced clinician to the procedure site—regardless of geographic distance.
The system is designed to support time-sensitive, high-skill procedures (e.g., ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia, vascular access, airway procedures, and point-of-care ultrasound exams) by providing:
• Live, synchronized multi-input streaming (US + monitor + field view, optionally device telemetry and audio)
• Two-way audio/video communication with role-based controls
• Real-time annotation and overlay guidance on the ultrasound feed (e.g., target zone, needle trajectory, “pause/advance” prompts)
• Stepwise procedural checklists and coaching prompts tailored to the clinical scenario
• Event capture and documentation (images, short clips, timestamps) for QA/QI and education
• Low-latency, high-reliability architecture to function in OR/ICU/ED and remote settings
• Strong security and compliance features (encryption, access logs, user authentication, audit trails)
In effect, it brings an expert “into the room” digitally—not by controlling instruments like a surgical robot, but by enabling high-fidelity remote oversight and coaching using the same critical inputs a bedside expert would rely on.
In effect, it brings an expert “into the room” digitally—not by controlling instruments like a surgical robot, but by enabling high-fidelity remote oversight and coaching using the same critical inputs a bedside expert would rely on.
Three core inputs (minimum viable)
1. Ultrasound feed (direct digital capture from US machine or probe gateway)
2. Physiologic monitor feed (ECG, SpO₂, BP, EtCO₂, alarms)
3. Procedure-field camera (wide view + optional headlamp/borescope view)
Plus (optional): needle tracking, nerve stim/PNS data, ventilator waveform feed, EMR context)
The Educational Problem
• Access to expert procedural guidance is uneven, especially during workshops and conferences and in rural settings, and LMICs
• Many procedures are ultrasound-dependent, other device dependent and time-sensitive
• Training gaps and limited supervision contribute to complications, inefficiency, and variability in performances.
• Current telemedicine platforms do not integrate ultrasound, monitors, and procedural views in real time
The Solution
NetCoach TM Live synchronizes three or more live clinical inputs to replicate the situational awareness of an in-room expert:
1. Ultrasound imaging feed (real-time, high fidelity)
2. Physiologic monitor data ()
3. Procedure-field video (camera or head-mounted view)
These inputs are delivered to a remote expert who can provide real-time audio coaching, visual annotations, stepwise guidance, and confirmation of critical procedural steps.
